Hon. Lisa Disbrow

Board Chair

Ms. Disbrow, a board member since June 2018, was elected chair in August 2021. She currently serves on the Boards of Mercury Systems; BlackBerry; CACI; and SparkCognition, and is the Vice Chairman of NDIA’s Board. She is an appointed member of the President’s Export Council; a Commissioner on the Congressional PPBE Reform Commission; and she’s a Senior Fellow at the Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Lab.

Ms. Disbrow retired from the federal government in 2017 as the 25th Under Secretary of the Air Force, with over 32 years of combined civilian and military service.  She was the Acting Secretary of the Air Force during the transition between Presidential administrations in 2017. Other leadership positions held include the Senate-confirmed Financial Management & Comptroller of the Air Force; the Vice Director of the Joint Staff J-8 Directorate; and the Special Advisor to the National Security Advisor for Policy Implementation at the White House. She was a Senior Systems Engineer at the National Reconnaissance Office, and she retired as a Colonel from the US Air Force Reserve, having served 23 years of total active and reserve duty in the intelligence and planning career fields.

Ms. Disbrow holds master’s degrees from George Washington University and the National War College, and a BA from the University of Virginia.
