Alana Young

Intern

Alana Young serves as NobleReach’s Program Management Intern where they research potential transition or translation outcomes for National Science Foundation technology to further NobleReach’s overall development strategy. Alana’s professional background is in public service and legal research. Prior to their role with NobleReach, Alana interned in the Office of Representative Ayanna Pressley, supporting office staff in their goal of addressing the needs of constituents. Before this, they volunteered with Massachusetts Court Service Centers where they conducted legal research and assistance with forms on behalf community members who otherwise lack access to legal aid. Similarly, as a volunteer with Harvard’s Small Claims Advisory Service, Alana helps their clients navigate the Massachusetts Small Claims court in particular.

Alana is currently a rising senior at Harvard College where they are pursuing a Joint Bachelor of Arts degree in Government, Harvard’s term for political science, and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. On campus you can find them leading the board of the College’s Queer Students Association or performing in Harvard dance shows. In their free time they enjoy biking and board games.
